kieto Chichibu – Pet Accommodation Terms and Conditions

To ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay for all guests, and in accordance with Article 9 of our Accommodation Agreement, kieto Chichibu has established the following Pet Accommodation Terms and Conditions. Please review these terms carefully before your stay.

Article 1 [Our Name and Purpose]

The Dog Friendly Cottage (hereinafter referred to as the “Accommodation Facility”) is a dedicated pet-friendly accommodation operated by Atami Golf Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the “Company”) and attached to kieto Chichibu. Its purpose is to provide a welcoming and comfortable environment for guests and their pet dogs.

Article 2 [Eligibility]

To ensure the safety and comfort of all guests, pet dogs must meet the following conditions to use the Accommodation Facility:

  1. Only indoor pet dogs are permitted.
  2. The pet dog must be house-trained and must not exhibit excessive barking, jumping, scratching, mounting, or destructive behavior.
  3. The pet dog must have received vaccinations for rabies and viral infectious diseases (e.g., a 5-in-1 or equivalent vaccine) at least two weeks but no more than one year prior to the stay.
  4. A valid vaccination certificate must be submitted via the designated form by the day before check-in.
  5. The pet dog must be at least four months old.
  6. At bedtime, the pet dog must be secured to a designated hook using its leash.
  7. The pet dog must be protected against fleas, ticks, and parasites.
  8. The pet dog must not be in heat (within four weeks of the start of a menstrual cycle), pregnant, or must have been spayed/neutered.
  9. The pet dog must be registered in accordance with municipal regulations (e.g., microchip registration and license issuance).
  10. The pet dog must not be undergoing treatment for illness or injury, nor pose a risk of contagious diseases.
  11. The pet dog must not exhibit extreme aggression (e.g., trained for dog fighting) or cause fear or discomfort to other guests or pet dogs.

Article 3 [Number of Pet Dogs Allowed]

  1. A maximum of three pet dogs are permitted per booking.

Article 4 [Pet Supplies Provided]

  1. The Accommodation Facility provides the following pet supplies and accessories. Please return items to their original location after use:

    • Pet toilet tray
    • Pet food dish
    • Waste bags for walks
    • Trash can
    • Toilet pads
    • Adhesive lint roller
    • Wet wipes
    • Paw wipes
    • Deodorizing spray

Guests are encouraged to bring familiar pet supplies (e.g., feeding dish, bedding, toys, collar, leash) to promote their pet dog’s comfort and relaxation.

Article 5 [Accommodation Etiquette]

To ensure a pleasant experience for all guests, please adhere to the following guidelines. Failure to comply or providing false information may result in denial of access to the Accommodation Facility:

  1. Complete bathing, shampooing, and nail trimming for your pet dog prior to your trip.
  2. Bring your pet dog’s food with you.
  3. Clean your pet dog’s paws upon entering the room.
  4. Do not bathe or shampoo your pet dog in the room’s bathroom. Keep bathroom and toilet doors closed to prevent access.
  5. Refrain from grooming or brushing your pet dog in the room.
  6. Do not allow your pet dog to sleep on the bedding; secure the leash to the designated hook at bedtime.
  7. Do not leave your pet dog unattended in the room.
  8. Temporary pet-sitting services are not provided.
  9. Ensure your pet dog wears a leash at all times within the facility, including in your room.
  10. Keep your pet dog on a leash in common areas to avoid disturbing other guests.
  11. Immediately address behaviors such as excessive barking or mounting.
  12. Pet dogs are only permitted in the Accommodation Facility and the Dog Park (hereinafter “the Dog Run”). Access to other facilities (e.g., Sauna, Pool, Clubhouse) is prohibited.
  13. Clean up and dispose of pet waste in common areas or the Dog Run using the designated trash bin in your room.
  14. If your pet dog relieves itself outside the designated pet toilet, clean it promptly and record the incident on the cleaning handover sheet provided. Use a dog diaper if necessary.
  15. Avoid damaging the building, furniture, or equipment. Report any damage or soiling on the cleaning handover sheet; repair costs may be charged.
  16. Be cautious of golf balls entering the Dog Run or common areas from the adjacent golf course.
  17. Smoking (including heated or electronic cigarettes) is strictly prohibited within the Accommodation Facility and the Dog Run.

Article 6 [Dog Run Operating Period and Hours]

The Dog Run operates as follows:

  • Operating Period: Year-round
  • Operating Hours: 7:00–10:00 and 12:00–21:00

Article 7 [Insurance]

  1. While the Accommodation Facility provides insurance as required by law for the accommodation industry, incidents involving pet dogs are generally not covered. Guests are advised to exercise caution to prevent accidents during their stay.

Article 8 [Liability for Damages]

The Accommodation Facility provides a space for guests to stay with their pet dogs but does not assume responsibility for pet care. Guests are solely responsible for managing their pet dogs. The Company is not liable for injury, escape, theft, or death of a pet dog due to natural disasters, unforeseen accidents, or force majeure, except in cases of intentional misconduct or gross negligence. The Company is not liable for disputes or damages arising between guests due to issues caused by their pet dogs, except in cases of intentional misconduct or gross negligence. Guests are responsible for repair costs for any damage or soiling caused by their pet dogs. Providing false information or violating these Terms may result in denial of access to the Accommodation Facility.

Article 9 [Amendment of These Terms]

These Terms may be amended to serve the general interests of guests or for reasonable cause. Amendments will be posted on the Company’s designated website and take effect on the specified date. Guests will be notified of changes via appropriate means (e.g., written notice or information bulletin).

By adhering to these Terms and Conditions, we aim to create a safe and enjoyable environment for all guests and their pet dogs. Thank you for your cooperation.
